Description

Rosie, Kinetic's second competition-ready robot, is a 12lb combat robot with a horizontally spinning weapon. Rosie was first designed in Fall 2022 and went 2-1 in her first competition. She is a horizontal spinner robot whose weapon barrages the opponent with a hefty hunk of steel. Once an opponent is struck by her weapon, they are knocked across the arena, taking damage from the force of impact of both her weapon and hitting the wall. Rosie's top plate comes from Cornell's very own Rapid Prototyping Lab and not only protects her from hostile attacks but also gives her a great amount of unspoken rizz.

Design

Rosie's chassis is composed of Aluminum 6061 and HDPE. Rosie's weapon material is 3/8" thick AR400. Rosie has blue wheels and features an indirect drive system made of pulleys and a belt between them.

Trivia

• Rosie is in love with Richard but Richard likes Sportsman's robot Florence. It's a love triangle. Get it, because Florence is a triangle.
• Rosie lost in a competition match to Richard in Spring 2023.
• Rosie smells... (according to Richard). However, sources have not confirmed this claim. CRC is planning on revamping and upgrading Rosie and she hopes that being better will make Richard like her.
